Of all the holidays I celebrate, my favorite one is Spring Festival, also known as Chinese New Year. It's a time when families gather together to enjoy each other's company and celebrate the start of a new year.

The preparation for Spring Festival begins weeks before the actual day. We clean our house thoroughly, buy new clothes, and decorate with red lanterns and couplets. The color red is believed to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits. On New Year's Eve, we have a big family dinner where everyone gathers around the table to share food and stories. Dumplings are a traditional dish, symbolizing wealth and prosperity.

On the first day of the new year, children receive red envelopes filled with money from their elders, which is meant to bring them good fortune throughout the year. Visiting relatives and friends is also an important part of the celebration, where we exchange greetings and well-wishes.

Spring Festival is not just about the festivities; it’s about spending quality time with loved ones and creating lasting memories. The joy and warmth of this holiday make it truly special to me.

我的最爱的假期

在我庆祝的所有节日中，我最喜欢的是春节，也叫中国新年。这是一个家人团聚、共同庆祝新一年开始的时刻。

春节的准备从实际日期前几周就开始了。我们彻底打扫房子，买新衣服，用红色灯笼和对联装饰。红色被认为能带来好运并驱赶邪灵。在除夕夜，我们会有一顿丰盛的家庭晚餐，大家围坐在桌旁分享食物和故事。饺子是传统菜肴之一，象征着财富和繁荣。

新年第一天，孩子们会从长辈那里收到装有钱币的红包，这代表着整年的幸运。拜访亲戚朋友也是庆祝的重要部分，在这里我们互相问候和祝福。

春节不仅仅是一场热闹的活动，更是与亲人共度美好时光、创造难忘回忆的机会。这个节日带来的快乐和温暖让我感到特别珍贵。
